This place is great! The burger, salad and fries were all fresh and delicious. I'm a bit picky when it comes to burgers, and this one met my high standards.There is a fantastic selection of beers available. I tried five of the six available "home brews" and they were all quite tasty. My favorite was the Stout which was extremely smooth - Stout can often have a slightly bitter quality which this did not.The service was quite good. Most of the staff had a good command of English and the menu was available in English. Atmosphere is quite like a typical barbecue joint in America - lots of wood.

Be sure to tell them if you don’t want BBQ sauce on your ribs. I smelled the smoke and had an urge for smoked ribs. They were fine but I don’t like to cover the meat’s flavor with sauce. Met some regular customers who swear by the food here. From the tenderness and smokiness, I would have probably given the food five stars if the BBQ sauce had been optional or served on the side. I toured the kitchen and met two cooks. It is clean and professionally run. They have three ovens and a nice big stove. They weren’t busy because I arrived just after opening. I sat at the bar and my neighbor had a ribeye and says he drives an hour to get here but eats here several times a week. Nice music and ambiance. I returned three hours later and the place was moderately busy for a Wednesday night.

Great homebrewed beer, lovely English speaking owner, great vibe. Pool table!

A really friendly place with a good selection of craft beers

The burger was good however the price was a little bit above what we would expect, the fries portions a little bit small and the dessert unfortunately not at the level.

Love KeMBY’s! Been there countless times over the last few years and always have a great time and enjoy great food and drinks! Highly recommend for anyone desiring western food in Hiroshima and especially great for big groups.

American style bar. Decent beers, including there own brew. Happy hour until 7 where all tap beers are 200Â¥ off. The pizza looked impressive however quite pricey.

Food was great, though my partner’s burger bun came out black (?!) he really enjoyed it. The ribs were fantastic. Great selection of beer and ale on offer. Friendly staff, nice vibe, and a pool table! On the pricey side but you’re going to get yummy food.

Really good Burgers!! Good Meat with no fat, really fresh products. We had pulled pork and the normal Burger - both really delicious. The fries are crispy and good tast. One of the best Burgers i ever had!! The place is really worth a visit

Beer selection was very good and fairly priced at happy hour. Otherwise, >Â¥1000 for a craft beer seems excessive. Burgers were adequate but nothing special. Server (who I assume was the owner or manager) was not very friendly. Maybe he was having a bad day.

It's a good vibe for groups, especially with the complimentary pool table. They also have vego options which is a very positive rarity in Japan! They also have their own home brewed beers which is very cool. For the meal size and quality it's a bit pricey overall if I'm being honest

What a great atmosphere! Kemby’s BBQ is amazing. Plenty of Gluten-free options. The wine and beer list are awesome. English menu makes things easy. The home brew stout on draft is a must try.

A slice of America in Hiroshima cityFood was great We had nachos they were good bit of a strange cheese but hey it is japan they have strange cheese served with sour cream and nice salsaFollowed by pulled pork burgers which came in good succession from the nachos Pork had a nice hickory flavor but the bun became a bit soggy towards the end. Served with nice fresh, hot fries Bit expensive compared to ramen but still reasonably priced considering that you get a good amount of meatToilets were of a high clean quality

Reminds of the bars I visited in San Diego a while back, relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of drinks on offer, the food we had was fantastic. Lively atmosphere, pool table, baseball on the telly. A great spot for any westerner missing a bit of home!

Came all the way from Australia and felt right at home .. lots of beers made in house and not that expensive.... The service though is second to none , they speak English and the burger and chips are delicious ...They will also keep you company the whole night !! Highly recommendPrakash is the man .... Don't play him in pool

Great meal and excellent beer selection. I enjoyed the deep dish (Chicago style) meat lovers pizza, which had amazing tasting sauce and perfect textured crust. My children enjoyed the cheeseburger and steak, and my wife had the tex mex nachos. Not a drop of food leftover and everyone gave two thumbs up. Also enjoyed the house brewed IPA beer.

The food is outstanding, the space is comfy, the crowd is fun, and the owner is a super cool guy.

Very American restaurant. Good ambience. Nice place to have a beer or two. English speaking staff so you don't have to worry about that.Very nice vegetarian burrito if you're looking for veg options. Onion rings are also very nice.One of the waitresses can speak Hindi.

This place while quaint with it's focus on sports like Baseball & Football is nothing to write home about. Food was average, atmosphere was dead & I certainly wouldn't eat there again. Staff were very friendly though :)

Good British/western style pub with big burgers. Few tvs to watch sport on. Friendly staff. Good food. If anything, prices are probably a bit high for the area.

Came on a Thursday not night around 7 PM. Not very crowded at first, but then folks started trickling in. Lively and full of atmosphere. We feasted on wings, beer, vodka, pulled pork burgers, pizza, and steak! Highly recommend the tomato bruschetta as well! Owner is very attentive and aims to please! We live in Tokyo, and find it difficult to find remarkable American food. This is as close as we’ve had!

If you’re looking to watch the rugby this is a great bar for it. There’s 4 or 5 screens around the bar and plenty of seating. The food was really good too - decent size burgers.

After a year away from the states, it feels great to eat an American burger. Toasted sesame bun, grilled mushrooms, fresh crunchy lettuce and perfectly cooked fries. It met my expectations! The only reason it lost a star was, the burger had cheese which wasn't listed ( gross American orange slice) and the waiter, though very nice, trilingual, and attentive, needed a shower! The vibe was chill, soft rock and country music, looks like they do live music sometimes, big bar, lots of beer! If I didn't live so far away, I'd go all the time. It was 2 seconds walk from the Fukuro-Machi streetcar stop and 2 seconds from the Atomic Bomb museum!

Great food, really upbeat atmosphere. They play classic rock music and treat customers very well. Even though we are visiting Japan for traditional experiences, I'm so glad we stopped in. Plus, the local beer was fantastic!

Very nice, I would highly recommend if you need a break from Japanese food. Definitely try the smoked pork belly!

Why are the reviews so high for this establishment? The food is not only expensive but the portions are very small. Giving two stars for the quality of the nachos. Ribs were super dry. The drinks were awful. Anyone who has been to a real American food establishment would not be satisfied with this place.

We stumbled across this place and were surprised at how good the food was. The deep dish pizza was better than those back in the states and their home brew was pretty good too. Was a little pricey but everything we ordered was delicious.

Excellent atmosphere with excellent food. The staff are especially impressive. The owner even took the time to introduce himself and explain the origins of the restaurant. He is clearly very proud of the business and he has every right to be. The food is delicious in all the right ways - the deep dish pizza was a particular highlight and worth the visit here for this alone. Highly recommended.

Food is good, but service is way to slow, had to wait for my burger for more than 40 mins. Full of drunk people and strong cigarette smoke smell.

Very reasonable prices for beer and food. Lovely friendly and obliging staff...

We had a couple burgers and beers. The burgers were good and I found the prices fair. “Craft” beer generally is expensive in Japan, so the prices seemed about on par to me in that department. The owner and the folks who work there were great. We asked them to put the Toyo-Carp game on and they obliged. Great place to relax and watch a ballgame if that’s your thing.

The staff was friendly, the smoker out front will make you SO hungry with the smell of smoked meats blowing through the restaurant. The deep dish pizza taste wonderful, just a bit small for me. All and all, if you are after some western food and in Hiroshima this is the spot to go!

First, I am trying to try native Japanese cuisine, broaden my horizons, etc. However when you try their pizza or BBQ you will agree, when you are in the presence of perfection, you might as well indulge. I am coming back here every night while I am here. Hands down the best deep dish pizza I have ever eaten. I want more but I am so full.Their BBQ spare rib is as authentic as actual texan BBQ. Having tried both I speak from experience.Their alcohol is strong and leaves me feeling buzzed even now, and I barely if ever feel it.Customer service was excellent and diligent. Environment was chill and homey. Many English speakers for those that don't speak Japanese. Come here. Enjoy it while you can.This is the ideal classic bar feel and I wish I had a place like this back home.

Great locally brewed beers

This is one of those great places that doesn't try too hard, but is perfect at being what it is aiming to be. In this case a brew bar with American food. The home brewed beers are great, I tried three of them. Smoked food including ribs and the other usual suspects are available along with a whole array of other pub food. Friendly staff, a pool table and handy location make this a good place to go.

Great place with decent food. Large selection of import beers and several craft type beers. Some texmex, some smoked meat, some typical bar food. Quite in the middle of the afternoon and hopping in the evening. Large food menu, great atmosphere, and pool table.

The food is absolutely delicious. If you aren't bothered by a place that is lively (a rowdy bunch was playing snooker when I was there) this is a place not to be missed. Has English menus and English speaking staff, good music, the burger was succulent and the deep dish pizza brimming with tasty cheese.

Really good food, lots of Western choices, but place has 2 staff and will turn people away at the door when the tables fill up. Live music (English and Japanese) on Saturdays.

Loved it.It's a super American bar with plenty of space. Including a billiards table!The food is delicious and appropriately priced, and they have a delightful drink selection. If that's your boat.During my meal they played a nice mix of old and new rock music. It added to the ambiance and was just the right level.For the food, wow. Burgers, burgers, burgers. Deep dish pizza with lava cheese. Your choice of fried dishes. Tex-mex. Dips galore including BBQ, dill, and honey mustard! This was a nice change of pace and definitely have some comfort foods. You won't be disappointed with the servings either. Not massively oversized but big definitely.It's a well run place.

The food and drinks are great however the service was not the best along with the cleanliness of the restrooms. First we could not order food from upstairs and second the person we were ordering with was talking with other people while we were ordering and messed up our order. When the food came it was delicious. We had the buffalo wings and deep dish pizza which was great. There was an event with a bunch of craft beers for 500 yen each that were unique and had wonderful taste. Some weird people were there but overall wasn't bad. Don't think I'll come again though.
